An interaction session with System Consultant Information India(P) Ltd. was organized by department of Computer Science, faculty of Engineering, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) at Kengeri campus on 15/07/2016.    SCII is a subsidiary company of KSC Japan.  

The session started with a preface about SCII and its clients by Mr. Alexander C. Varkey, CEO, SCII(P) Ltd.  The invited clients of SCII were from Bridgestone,Konica Minolta and Sumitomo Forestry.  A brief introduction was made by the clients about their company.  Presentations on how the Japanese people learn and work were show using the personal experiences of the clients.  The students of Japan do part time jobs, which they think the purpose of work is to enjoy the school life. Japanese stress more on Quality over Quantity.  They became stricter with quality from 1980’s.  They believe higher the cost of a product, the higher the quality.  Japanese products are expensive, but of high quality.  And that reflects SCII vision “To continuously thrive to achieve customer satisfaction and deliver highest quality products and services to our clients, by following a strong customer oriented approach”.  They give ranks to product depending upon the quality.  Few comparisons were explained regarding the quality approaches of Japan and other countries.  Though india lacks in quality but the India,s GDP keeps on increasing, whereas Japans  GDP decreases, because of the less workforce, since Japan’s population has more number of aged people.  As a result, in japan they are many job opportunities for talented people.
